根據《華爾街日報》報導，區塊鏈支付龍頭瑞波公司（Ripple）已正式向美國貨幣監理署（OCC）遞件申請全國信託銀行執照，若順利獲得核准，Ripple 將晉身為可全美跨州營運的聯邦級金融機構。消息曝光後，瑞波幣（XRP）應聲上揚逾 3% 。
Ripple 除了經營自家區塊鏈 XRP Ledger，還發行了市值達 4.4 億美元、受紐約州金融服務部（NYDFS）監管的穩定幣 RLUSD 。同時，Ripple 也提供數位資產託管服務。若這次申請獲批准，Ripple 將得以拓展加密貨幣服務範疇，並且在聯邦監管下跨州營運。
目前為止，Anchorage Digital 是全美唯一一家持有聯邦信託銀行執照的數位資產公司；第二大穩定幣 USDC 發行商 Circle 本周稍早也向 OCC 申請成立一家聯邦信託銀行。
Ripple 執行長 Brad Garlinghouse 在社群平台 X 發文指出：「若申請獲批，Ripple 將同時受 NYDFS 與聯邦監管，可望為穩定幣市場建立全新且獨特的信任標竿。」

Brad Garlinghouse 也透露，Ripple 近期已透過去年收購的信託與託管公司 Standard Custody，向聯準會（Fed）提出申請，希望取得「主帳戶（Master Account）」。
一旦獲得主帳戶，Ripple 將能直接在央行存放 RLUSD 的儲備資產（如美債），為穩定幣的透明度、安全性再添一道防線。
過去已有多家加密貨幣企業試圖申請 Fed 主帳戶，皆未能如願，顯見 Ripple 此舉若成功，將是加密貨幣業界的一大突破。
